HHAMA is working with 5 active intercountry adoption programmes, Vietnam, India, USA, Thailand and The Philippines.
2025 NOTE : when reporting completions for all countries HHAMA is now reporting Placements. The placements can occur some time before legal completion eg. Thailand and the US and the most appropriate way to record children placed in an appropriate time frame is to report actual placements, children placed with adoptive parents, not legal completions. From 2025 the line will be PLACEMENTS.

- The Irish Waiting List Number are those Irish families who are waiting to be matched as part of a global pool of applicants. New dossiers received will add to this number and applicants matched with children will be removed from this number.
- At any given time there may be other applicants, on any of the programmes listed, who are matched pending placement and that number is now recorded here. There may indeed be applicants where either the AAI or the applicants have yet to make a decision and that number is not recorded here. Should a proposed match not proceed then the applicant will return to the waiting list and the Referral pending placement number will be reduced.
